Dining Area

First day of arranging things at home was very easy...just located aside our slippers...in a clean corner...near a foot-mat...but after when few things came in...I needed to instruct everyone to place slippers in a right corner... :)...after few 4-5 months we suddenly realized the need of Idiot box...at the time of World cup March 2007...and I did say wherever we use to go...that Alok is planning to have television in our home...that statement everytime did pressurized him to get the idiot box at home...and finally we got...but now I think that did we required this one to conclude our fights on a remote????... :)....next change of this beautiful shelf..full of glasses...in August 2008...gifted to us by our friend...Gaurav...Lucky we...!!!!
Living Room

Clean Pictures of hall with just a stool and siiting area....reminds me of cleanliness and no work to maintain...after that few chairs came in when people start visiting newly married and settled couple....in Place like Mumbai....then after a visit of our elders we decided to arrange a single bed for our guests....to accomodate them and to a true belief that 14-15 persons were adjusted nicely one night in this room of 350sq feet.....and then visuals of Living room cum hall cum guest room transformed accordingly.... :)
Wardrobe Area

Transition of this wardrobe area from loads of luggages to an organized almirah did happen during the first month of our settlement...so as to arrange clothes...even when Alok disorganizes it every week... :)
Bed Room

The first day work out for positioning the floor-bed was very exciting...as with our parents we hardly slept any night on floor-settings.... In a corner are you able to locate Phillips Fm-amplifier which we installed as our first electronic system in our home...as we both are music lovers...and the day I was listening to music so loud that our watchman did actually came and told to keep it low as it was disturbing other flat-residents...first realization that I felt of living in a flat...beyond the amplifier is our semi-open balcony...where curtains are drawn...cant really forget this day when I tested if the voice of music is fixed in proper range...and while doing that I got myself locked in balcony...till I connected to a lady in front of my balcony in an adjacent building to contact my husband and convey to him that he arrange for the keys to get me unlock...thankfully it was all done after spending 2-3 hrs in balcony.... After this floor setting we switched over to a bed (in left) from second hand market...after we realized the high cost of furniture in Mumbai....then almost 2 yrs later this bed retired...co-incidently we got our new cane-bed after next few days...that was gifted to us by our same friend...Gaurav...
Kitchen

Most attached area to the lady of home is Cuisine...with the fragnance of spices, vegetables and food....as I also love cooking....and sometimes make Alok to love it too... :)....while the picture shows clearly...for first few months I learnt to cook every food in Microwave...and I did well...and no other option too.. as we ran out of gas connection crisis till 4-5 months...after that we were able to arrange supply of gas from our neighbours only...till finally we got a connection after 2 yrs...then we realized how important and hard is to get even a gas connection...to run a kitchen and have home-cooked meal....???...as far as meals are concerned, Alok experienced three months before marriage, eating out everyday....then we got married and he did find an ultimate solution for home-cooked food...and that he even suggested to his bachelor friends to get married if they crave for delicious home food......

You could see the changes in our home as 2 years of our life passed on, in this 1BHK Flat in Thane, Maharashtra. Alok and me got in this flat just after 3 days of our marriage....with just a single mattress and 9-10 bags of our luggage.... I really remember the memories of a clean, beautiful flat and of course a deprived one from basic requisites.....seemed to me like an empty hotel room...as we were the first occupants in our landlady's newly possesed flat....but as time passed month by month we were able to settle materialistic life in our home.....till 2 yrs of patience and love that we tranformed in due course of time a furnished house and... termed it home...

Why we share these experiences of making of our home... as its really a commendable job of organizing things, arranging materialistic life when it truly depends on one-self...we never even imagined the problems that we overcame while installing our home...when we were just bunking classes and freaking out with friends...these things actually reminds us of our leisure days...when we are dependent on our parents to take care of home and homely issues..... Sense of responsibility is sensed actually in these moments when just me and you have to build up a life on our own....in a metro city...away from care of our near and elder ones...
