Mumbai-Vapi-Silvassa-Khanvel-Dhudhni-Daman
Journey started with a 4 day long weekend plans, we reached Ahemdabad from Mumbai, and then started off towards Rajasthan. Visted the famous Ambaji Temple which is situated at the border of Gujarat-Rajasthan. Then we headed towards Mount Abu, the hill journey was very pleasant and exploring the nature. After 2 nights stay at Mount Abu and covering all spots of the hill station, In the morning we started for Udaipur, the city of grand palaces. On the way we covered Haldighati-Maharana pratap Museum and after that Shreenathji Temple. After reaching Udaipur, it was truly amazing and exciting to see the lifestyle of maharajas in The city Palace. Great was the Vintage car Museum, where there was large collection of Vintage cars each of them shining and sparking. This trip was true fun and full of Rajasthani apetite !!!
Journey was to cover Daman of the Union Territory Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Havelli, in which there are cool & nice places Silvassa, Khanvel and Dhudhni. The Madhuban Dam in Silvassa is very huge and used as source to supply water in several villages nearby. There were about 100's of deer in Deer Park but only one lion in Lion Safari :), but we were lucky to have their closest glimpse. There were water sports and fishing in rivers and lakes in Dhudni-Khanvel. Beautifully maintained gardens with lots of ducks and swans nearby the lake sides in vicinity of Silvassa.
Daman is the place to have beer all-over the beach sides :). A perfect place for our dry state Gujju friends. Forts and light house near the beaches is a good attraction.
